ABOUT OUR MUSICIANS THIS MONTH
Growing up with jazz and blues flooding the house, Tricia Freeman was performing before exiting high school, and made a beeline for Southern California at the age of 19. It was only a matter of months – and self-training on her blues guitar – before Tricia became a popular favorite at taverns and large festivals up and down the coast.
Since those early days, Tricia’s repertoire has only expanded, both in performance requests and original music hits. On tour almost constantly between here and Europe, Tricia also does studio vocals work for Disney and Time Warner, and shares the stage with the likes of Walter Trout, Spencer David, Al Green, John Fogarty and more. Often compared to powerful vocalists such as Melissa Ethridge, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks and Linda Ronstadt, she is an energetic and fun performer on any stage. Follow Tricia on Facebook.
On Saturday evenings, it’s Jason Feddy’s UK influence (just a stone’s throw from James’ Spain), from Beatles to Bowie and a “whole lotta rockin’ blues in between.”
Feddy was born in the city of Leeds, in the UK. He left school at 16 to travel, eventually returning to England to join a rock ‘n roll band as a singer and guitar player. From there, it was solo work, decades of touring and hours in the studio making albums or recording for television or movies (which he still does today).
He came ashore here in Laguna Beach in 2000, and quickly made his mark on the local and regional scene here as he continued to tour and work in the studio. Follow Jason on Facebook.
